Weald Granary Recommended Varieties for Central Storage 2010/11

Wheat:
Group 1’s: Hereward, Solstice, Gallant
Group 2’s : Cordiale
Group 3’s (soft): Claire, Robigus, Viscount
Group 4’s (feed): Any Variety (Alchemy & Humber popular)

If other milling varieties are delivered to store they will be batched with similar varieties buy may not achieve a premium.

Barley:
Winter Malt : Cassata
Spring Malt : Tipple
If other varieties delivered to store premiums maybe possible, but essentially they will be stored as feed.

Feed : Any variety
Oil seed rape: Any Variety (HOLL – V141)

Beans:
Winter: Any Variety (Wizard Popular)
Spring: Fuego

Linseed: Any Variety

Peas: Any Variety

Oats: Any Variety (Dalguise Popular but limited market for Oats in this region)
