Marketing

The majority of grain is entered into what we call the Long Pools which has many advantages detailed in the potential members section.

For wheat there are typically separate pools for Group 1, Group 2, hard, soft and feed varieties. Other pools include oilseed rape, malting barley and beans.

Each lorry load is exhaustively tested and rewarded according to quality as detailed in the Marketing Scheme. This can often lead to a premium higher than would be achieved elsewhere.

You may also use the space you own twice by entering grain into the Double Use Pools which are sold at harvest. These are for oilseed rape, feed wheat and barley only.

All pools are profesionally marketed by our agents Openfield in close consultation with our marketing committee.
